Lauren Drakakis
IT Systems Architect
St. John’s University

Lauren Drakakis is an IT Systems Architect at St. John’s University, where she has spent the past 12 years helping the university organize its technology plans and identify opportunities to use technology more effectively, especially those that further the university’s Vincentian mission. As a member of the Emerging Technology team, she researches, evaluates, and implements new technologies to stay ahead of the curve — including a new AI-based chatbot.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Management and Technology from Long Island University (LIU Post). Outside of work, Lauren cherishes spending time with her family and dog, tending to her garden, visiting aquariums, and getting lost in a good book.
