The Evisions 2025 Conference was a remarkable event that brought together Evisions users with the company’s leadership and broad team to discuss the future of the product suite in a time of great change and stress for institutional customers. Evisions has cultivated a loyal community of Argos users who have become experts in the core product. These users regularly come together at Evisions’ conferences to exchange ideas and stay informed about the product’s direction.
However, this year’s annual conference felt different, reflecting Evisions’ renewed commitment to innovation through its recent product advancements and partnerships. Evisions has not only rolled out a modern web-based extension of Argos (called Argos X) but is also innovating on its partnership with Alteryx by offering new, prebuilt accelerator packages that solve critical, cross-system data problems quickly. The first of these accelerator packages (now in the early adopter phase) provides delivered student success and academic program costing dashboards with connectors to LMS solutions and Ellucian Banner. These accelerators enable institutions to quickly map student and academic programming data to visualizations.
The conference kicked off with an inspiring keynote by Jonathon Pack, Head of Marketing at Evisions, and Dave Crosser, Vice President of Client Experience, who set the tone for the event by emphasizing the importance of protecting and extending institutional investments as a core part of Evisions’ principles of product development. Their message, “Your data, your journey, your way, at your pace,” resonated with the audience and highlighted the conference’s focus on empowering institutions to take control of their digital transformation.
Evisions’ current market orientation builds on the past success of the Argos (and MAPS) platform and allows customers to adopt cloud technologies at their own pace without starting from scratch. As a significant Ellucian partner, Evisions also highlighted its support for customer migrations to Ellucian Banner and Colleague SaaS, showing a deepened partnership between the two companies.
Importantly, Pack spent a few minutes talking about Evisions’ cultural alignment of support and compassion for institutions that are in a time of great chaos—and, for some, existential stress.
The conference also featured insightful sessions on the new Argos X, including a powerful new data exploration tool. Evisions held sessions and client discussions to demonstrate the tool’s ability to provide immediate, preconfigured insight. The company announced other product developments, including the introduction of new dashboard tools for clients and new delivered technical connectors for MAPS. Evisions’ commitment to working closely with Ellucian and other partners ensures that clients’ digital transformation journeys will be collaborative and inclusive.
Evisions has undergone a quiet transformation over the past 12–18 months with the arrival of new leaders, such as Jeff Beeman (Vice President of Engineering), Jim Farrell (Chief Product Officer), and James Hocking (Vice President of Strategic Partnerships). The company has strategically leveraged its product price increase from a few years ago (without taking on external investment) to unleash a burst of creativity driven by the expertise of its existing, seasoned team. The company’s rapid innovation and audacious roadmap have propelled it to a significantly more competitive position in the higher education data and analytics market, transitioning its solutions from reliable, familiar, but less innovative tools to modern, cloud enablers for institutions’ complex data and analytics needs.
Evisions’ noteworthy initiatives include:
The Evisions 2025 Conference showcased the company’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and customer support during a time of significant change. With the introduction of Argos X, new accelerator packages, and a renewed partnership with Ellucian, Evisions is poised to take a pivotal position in helping higher education institutions achieve their data and analytics goals. The event highlighted the company’s dedication to empowering institutions to take control of their data journey at their own pace, ensuring a smooth transition to modern cloud technologies. As always, Evisions’ success will rely on continued execution on this path, but the early start is promising.
