Melissa Smurdon has served the Butler University Office of Financial Aid in Indianapolis, Indiana for more than 30 years. Before becoming Director in 2010 she held various positions from counseling to systems and compliance oversight. She got her start as a student employee at University of Indianapolis followed by Ball State University where she completed a Master’s in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education. Melissa is committed to excellent student and family service and has a keen interest in technology. These factors led Butler to select Oracle Cloud Student Financial Planning in 2018 to be the initial institution integrating the product with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
