Corey Fling serves as the chief information officer (CIO) at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU). He has led transformation efforts at the university to modernize its technology platforms for both administrative and academic relevance, aligning business needs with technology. Significant effort has been made in upgrading administrative systems functionality, security, cloud services, in support of all information technology initiatives at PLNU, and Corey is overseeing a multi-year migration from a legacy administrative system to Workday. He is also establishing an information security office and developing his staff to utilize progressive technology to meet customer needs.
Prior to his role as CIO, Corey oversaw the network and server infrastructure at PLNU and served in various technical capacities within and outside higher education.
Corey earned his BA from Point Loma Nazarene University and MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
